“Feel good country.” Garth Lannock @ Long Branch Saloon
Why are weekends always that short? No sooner is friday you already find yourself at sunday evening. But at least you can make the best of it – listening to live music! So I was at the Long Branch Saloon to see Garth Lannock. @ Long Branch SaloonPlaying his guitar to backtracks, Garth prepared a good setlist for his all country show and of course there was also room for some requests left. With the Eagles’ “How long” and Glen Campbell’s “Rhinestone cowboy” he showed right at the beginning what we had to expect from the next hour: enjoy- and danceable songs to get rid of the sunday evening blues. Who cares about mondays when listening to feel good music? I can say he accomplished that mission.
“No patter but music.” Coming from the Netherlands, Garth has been in the music scene for over 34 years. He toured all over Europe, as a professional drummer/singer in several bands and now as part of the live music community here in Second Life for about 11 years. Garth’s powerful baritone voice sets the tone and his rapidly following songs combined with his very likeable announcements guarentee a very lively show. You can take his slogan “No patter but music.” literally as his repertoire has more to offer than just country. Put him to the test. The Long Branch Saloon is located in Dodge City, a roleplay sim set in the 1870s wild west. Mainly set up to immerse in the good old western times, they also offer live music regularly – especially country. So be sure to wear your cowboy boots at your visit. Thank you Garth for a fun and entertaining hour! Find more about Garth here: Group: Garth Outlaws Website / Facebook Calendar Media: soundcloud / youtube
